Janet Collins Framed poster

I was watching TV with my daughter and a documentary about Janet Collins came on that inspired me. Janet Collins was a ballet dancer, choreographer, and teacher. As a Black women born in 1917 in America it's no surprised that she dealt with racism. But she was so good that no one could deny her skills. She got an opportunity to dance at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, but she had to perform in 'White Face' she flat out refused. A few years she performed at the Metropolitan as a Black women. I'm watching this with my daughter whom has been the only little Black girl in ballet class, powerful stuff. I painted this for my daughter.

This high quality print already comes framed - it just makes life that much easier. Printed on thick, durable, matte paper. A statement in any room. These puppies are printed on archival, acid-free paper. Original Painting 36"x48".
